Andrea is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. She received her bachelors degree in in Physiology from the University of Arizona in 1998. She returned to Maryland to pursue her Physical Therapy degree. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2001 with her Masters in Physical Therapy and continued on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2003.

Andrea found yoga approximately 7 years ago initially to complement her running routine. Soon after she became so inspired by yoga philosophy, history and anatomy that it became a passion. She attended True Nature School of Yoga and received her 200 hour Teacher certification in 2008. Andrea received her training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she has received her Holistic Health Counseling Certification. Andrea enjoys bridging her knowledge of the human body with her love for yoga and nutrition in providing health and wellness solutions for her clients.

Andrea and her husband Michael moved to San Diego 4 years ago and are the parents of wonderful and very energetic 3 year old twins. In her free time Andrea enjoys playing with her husband and kids, teaching and practicing yoga, and running.

Andrea excelled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. She practices a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that she looks at how all areas of one's life are connected.

Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health."
